Allows the visitor the experience of seeing and actually harvesting several popular Dominican herbs and to learn the medicinal values and Creole stories surrounding them. An opportunity to sample the fruits and to purchase dried exotic herbs is also offered.

Why CarRod's Gardens?

It is situated in the scenic village of Soufriere, in the southernmost part of Dominica. Located in Kanawa, part of a lime estate once owned by L. Rose & Co. of Leigh, Edinburgh, Scotland, CarRod's Gardens was named in memory of Rodney and Carmen Agnita Lewis, parents of the heirs of the property.

Certified guides will take you to the best sites on the South-West of Dominica; including the 1st segment of the Waitukubuli National Trail, Tete Morne, Morne Patate - Gallion, soufriere sulphur Deposits /Springs, Mayan Baths, Bois Catlette (coffee plantation). We arrange Diving, Snorkeling and Kayaking through local providers in the St. Marks area.
