CarRod’s Gardens

The property is located in Kanawa, Brooklyn, Soufriere, part of a former lime estate once owned by L. Rose & Co. of Edinburgh, Scotland. CarRod’s Gardens was named in memory of Carmen Agnita and Rodney Lewis.

Our Gardens have been described as one of the most soothing locations on Dominica. 

Visitors can experience the harvesting of popular Dominican herbs, and learn the medicinal values and Creole stories surrounding them. There are also opportunities to sample fruits and purchase dried exotic herbs.

The sounds of the singing birds echo in the valley surrounding the gardens, while Jo Benna’s Farm complements the therapeutic experience with the scents of herbs and fruits.
